Overview:
We are looking to add to our growing team in the role of Wire Rope Technician for our Fort St John, BC location.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Take direction from and coordinate activities with wire rope supervisor
- Receive customer orders from order desk or front counter
- Manages and prioritize orders
- Pull product from shelves
- Ensures accuracy of orders
- Organize/package and correctly mark customer orders for shipping
- Assemble product in accordance with manufacture recommendations and customer specifications
- Operate hydraulic press
- Manually cut or operate wire rope cutting machine
- Operate material handling equipment (forklift, pallet jack, carts, dollies)
- Operate pull test machine
- Certify products to manufactures specifications
- General housekeeping duties
- Participate and contribute to the company Health and Safety Program
- Attend training sessions as requested
- On-Call Duties
Qualifications:
- Previous wire rope assembly experience
- Experience working hydraulic equipment
- Experience operating pull test equipment
- Self-Motivated
- Team orientated
- Reliable
- Strong organizational skills
- Be able to read pick tickets and take instruction
- Forklift operator training
- WHMIS Training
