Northern Metalic Sales is a Canadian Independent Wholesale Industrial Distributor based in Grande Prairie, AB with operations across Alberta & BC.

Northern Metalic Sales is part of a larger, diverse group of companies with interests in wholesale distribution, oilfield service & supply, lubricants distribution, land and real estate development, rail construction & transload, and finance.

Overview:

We are currently seeking an individual to fill the position of Inside Sales Account Manager, for our Prince George, BC location.

Specific Responsibilities include:

As an Inside Sales Account Manager, you will be responsible for cultivating and managing specific customer relationships within a designated territory. Key responsibilities include driving sales growth, identifying opportunities, meeting revenue targets, understanding customer needs, providing product/service information and collaborating with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction. Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills are essential for success in this role.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Inside Sales Account Manager’s primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Outstanding customer service skills with a genuine desire to deliver excellent customer service experiences.
  • Meeting key objectives with respect to margin preservation, growing and retaining current customers, and pursuing growth opportunities.
  • Best in class customer service and communication, order entry, sourcing, managing customer inquiries, and analyzing data and trends.
  • Work with Sales and Management team to develop strategic accounts to target and communicate progress.
  • Effectively prioritize own time to achieve results.
  • Provide product knowledge information to customers in a confident and friendly manner.
  • Ability to provide detailed pricing terms and prepare and present customer quotations.
  • Efficient and detail orientated data entry skills
  • Ability to give consistent and effective customer feedback to colleagues on an ongoing basis.
  • Continuing to gain product knowledge and ahead of industry changes in products and services.

Qualifications:

  • High-school diploma or, GED equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in customer service, counter or inside sales role with preference given to that in industrial sales environment
  • Demonstrate understanding of the industry, product knowledge and aptitude for continuous learning.
  • Strong organizational, computer, communication and negotiating skills.
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently.
  • Solid references
