Northern Metalic Lubricants is part of a larger, diverse group of companies with interests in wholesale distribution, oilfield service & supply, lubricants distribution, land and real estate development, rail construction & transload, vehicles rentals & leasing, and finance.

Overview:

We are currently seeking an individual to fill the position of Lubricants Account Manager in the Grande Prairie, AB area.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Actively manage existing accounts building client relationships, identifying opportunities and identifying action items through regular meetings/visits.
  • Conducting joint calls with expert colleagues and Chevron representatives
  • Develop new business opportunities by working in your territory, exploring media, collaborating with colleagues, trade association membership, and attending trade shows
  • Utilize the CRM to aid in managing existing customers, developing prospects, tracking results, monitoring sales pipeline progress and goal setting
  • Along with help from your sales manager, design a sales plan for your territory. This plan incorporates Northern Metalic & Chevron objectives, tracking progress against previous years’ numbers, analyzing your own performance, and developing and implementing monthly performance targets to ensure objectives are reached.
  • Develop territory management plan that optimizes your time in the field – allowing sufficient time to service existing accounts while also leaving time to investigate and grow new accounts.
  • Utilize sales training (Challenger Skills & Accelerate Program) to prepare for sales calls and differentiate yourself from your competitors, and utilize pitch decks, value propositions and best-in-class surveys to prove your differentiation from your competitors
  • Strive for continued growth in your lubricant knowledge by attending lubricant supplier’s training classes, STLE training and events
  • Regular reviews (monthly) with sales manager to identify areas gaps to goals and sales progress and skill development
  • Provide guidance to the sales support team (inside sales, warehouse staff and delivery personnel) to help direct the prioritization of sales activities
  • Coach and mentor sales support team on lubricant education; assess sales support teams capabilities and identify skill gaps and recommend training plans to close gap
  • Collaborate with entire sales team in identifying and evaluating potential customers
  • Provide a role model of desired leadership behaviour; a team player, a great communicator, a mentor.
